A BRIGHTER FUTURE
The Voice We Need, for the Change We Deserve
On poverty in rural New York
WHY I'M RUNNING
I'm ready to go to work for you in Albany
I believe our elected officials have a duty to serve the people that elected them, and a responsibility to better their community. We deserve representation that advocates for our needs. We haven't gotten it yet, and that's why I'm running. As a farmer, educator, wife, and mother, I strive to improve the lives of the people around me, provide for my family, and nurture the land we live on. I value hard work and empathy, and I believe our families deserve a better quality of life.
I live here in Baldwinsville with my wife and two boys, and I've watched for too long as our community has declined. Our district has one of the highest infant mortality rates and lowest life expectancies in the state. There are people living in poverty, and many people living without reliable electricity or broadband services. In one of the wealthiest states in the nation, this should not be happening. We need a voice in Albany in the Majority—where decisions are made and resources are allocated—to make our voices heard. You can trust me to fight for you and your family, because I'll be fighting for mine, too.
